INSEAD IPEC Climate Tech Series – May/June 2022
The INSEAD Private Equity & Venture Capital Club is delighted to launch a dedicated series of events on Climate Tech investing.
#5: Food/AgriTech
The fifth and last episode of its spring 2022 Climate Tech Series will focus on investing in Food and AgriTech opportunities. Guest speakers will be Kanira Shah (MBA’16D) from Astanor Ventures, Jamie Walters from Calyxia, Andrew Carter from Smallhold and Sarah Heywood from Planet Farms.

#4: Africa: Investing in the climate tech future
The fourth episode of its Climate Tech Series will focus on Africa: Investing in the climate tech future, with INSEAD alum Jade Bouhmouch, Managing Partner of Ambo Ventures, a leading venture fund investing in impact-driven and socially responsible startups in Africa, INSEAD alum Helen Lin, Principal of AtOne Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in net-positive opportunities for humanity, and Filip Lövström, Co-Founder and CEO of Roam, a leader in electrifying the African transport and energy system.

#3: Batteries: Enabling sustainable electrification
The third episode of its Climate Tech Series will focus on batteries, a key technology at the core of any decarbonization investing strategy. Vivas Kumar, Co-Founder & CEO of Mitra Chem, will be on campus to share his experience founding Mitra Chem, a battery tech company located in Mountain View, and prior to that as Senior Manager in Tesla’s Batteries Team.

This second episode of its Climate Tech Series will focus on Buildings: Investing in the cities of the future, with Christian Jolck, Partner and Co-Founder of 2150, the leading Europe-based VC focused on decarbonising the built environment, and Dr. Remo Gerber, CEO of LEKO labs, a leading wood tech company.
