Responding to Moments of Distress: Frameworks to Recognize, Minimize, and Manage Conflict

Conflict and situations of distress permeate every industry, and effective conflict management is an invaluable skill every leader should hone. IWiB was pleased to host a virtual two-day event facilitated by Lisa Dicker and Shane Hebel from Harvard Law School’s Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program: Responding to Moments of Distress: Frameworks to Recognize, Minimize, and Manage Conflict. The event took place online, on 10 March 2021 for the Fontainebleau campus and on 11 March 2021 for the Singapore Campus.

Through this interactive workshop, students gained tools to listen, understand, and make others feel heard, and walk away with frameworks for navigating the effective balance of empathy and assertion in a difficult conversation.

Thriving in your MBA career and Beyond

IWiB hosted, in collaboration with Bain & Company, the online event Thriving in your MBA career and Beyond on 10 March 2021 for the Singapore campus and on 11 March 2021 for the Fontainebleau campus.

It was a great opportunity for female INSEADers to meet Bain women and discuss what it means to truly thrive in your career and to not only ‘succeed’!

What’s next for Black Lives Matter & Women In Business? Accenture’s perspective

IWiB hosted the webinar What’s next for Black Lives Matter & Women In Business? Accenture’s perspective on 10 March 2021.

In collaboration with the INSEAD Africa Club, Consulting Club, and Women in Business Club, Accenture invited students to join Accenture’s panel to hear an open & honest discussion about initiatives taken within Inclusion & Diversity, what next after BLM & are we there yet for gender equality.

The Less Trodden Path

“The Less Trodden Path” seminar on Feb 15 (12CET) is designed to help students explore career paths less represented by MBA graduates.

We realized that some sectors (e.g. consulting, finance, etc.) have very structured recruitment processes, whilst other career paths have less on-campus recruitment resources.

To help students navigate these ‘non-traditional’ careers, “The Less Trodden Path” features an incredible panel of inspiring leaders from tech, entrepreneurship, marketing, design, and social impact.

Gender Respect in the Workplace: From #MeToo to What Now?

After the success of last year’s seminars with Professor Ulhmann, we are pleased to invite all INSEAD students, partners, alumni, and staff of all genders to a follow on lecture – Respect in the Workplace: from #MeToo to What now? This event co-hosted with Professor Eric Uhlmann and MBA 21J Henrietta Hearth will focus on the empirical data surrounding frequency of harassment and why so few victims come forward and how bystanders can help.

Although the discussion on gender diversity in various fields and their related problems has been kicked off, there is still a lot of work to be done and change that has to take place.
